Welcome to the COVID-19 updates page. Below you will find three sections. The first is our current meeting plan for Sunday services. The second section has a video of Pastor Heinze explaining how Red Rocks Baptist Church will proceed during the mandatory shut downs. The final section contains the current plan in written form.
Sunday Services (cancelled through April 30)
The Coronavirus continues to spread and as a result both national and state governments have asked public gatherings be limited to less than 10 people until April 30. To protect our church family from potential illness and to abide by the request of governmental authority, we have cancelled services and gatherings until that date. We pray the situation will be over by then or even earlier than April 30 so that we may resume worshiping together.
Current Pastor Heinze Update
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Plan
In lieu of gathering together, we plan to record two messages per week and post them on our website. We also plan to record updates from Pastor Heinze and tips for having a family worship time from Pastor Brian. Praise the Lord we have technology to worship virtually! These video sermons and video updates will continue until we can gather again, at which point we will resume our usual approach to worship. You can continue to give online through the website or mail in a check to the church office. If you do not receive the email updates sent out by the church you may sign up for those by calling the church office (303-922-3801) or by emailing email@example.com with your preferred email address.
Through all this we continue to trust in the Lord. Psalm 90:1-2 reminds us who our God is: “Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” God will encourage His children, as Romans 15:13 says: “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Please act wisely and be safe. Wash your hands frequently. Avoid public places or close contact with other people. If you are elderly or would be susceptible to contracting the virus we can help you avoid public venues by doing your grocery shopping for you. Please contact Pastor Brian Dukeshier through the church office at 303-922-8301.
We will continue to monitor the situation and proceed in faith. Please contact the church office if you have questions or concerns.
